At Camp Monroe, our staff fall into four categories and each plays a valuable role in giving our campers a summer they always remember.

They are: administrators, counselors, instructors and support staff.

Our administrators guide our campers and staff through the busy fun-filled days of camp. They wake up the camp in the morning and put everyone to bed at night. They are kind, caring, loving and assertive. They plan the programs, advise the staff and campers, inspect the bunks, oversee activity areas, and offer the warmth, support, and mature direction that help to create an atmosphere that is comfortable and safe.

Our counselors live with the campers and travel with them all day to meals, activities and programs, acting as big brother/sister, role model, parent/teacher and friend.  Being a counselor at Camp Monroe is extremely rewarding, as well as, a huge responsibility. Campers will look up to you and you will an opportunity to have a significant positive impact in their growth and development.

Our forty instructors teach at the daily activities using their expertise to improve camper’s skills, while providing a fun and active activity. They also live with the campers and function as additional counselors when they are not working at their instructional areas.

Our support staff provides all the important needs of our camp community, food services, maintenance, office, health center, sanitation and landscaping. These professionals take pride in their work as they care for their special summer home, Camp Monroe. They are respected for the work they do and appreciated for the way in which they make camp so beautiful, functional and comfortable.
