PHONE CALLS / CALLING TIMES
Starting on July 8, 2010, you may call your child at 845-782-8695 to speak directly with your child during the following hours:
Sunday – Thursday 11:30 am - 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Friday – 11:30 am – 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
*Parents are limited to one call per week per camper. Please adhere to this restriction. Thank you
Why calling times?
By adhering to our regular calling times you are more likely to get in touch with your child, faster. Camp Monroe is 200 acres and your child(ren) may have trouble hearing their name over the camp loud speaker. Your child could be boating, swimming, inside a building, taking part in a special event day or in the middle of playing a sport. All of these activities could make if difficult for your child to hear their name announced, stop what they are doing and get to a phone quickly. The last thing we want is for parents and relatives to wait on hold for long periods.
It is also very disruptive to the rest of camp if camper names are constantly announced throughout the entire day.
We really appreciate your patience and understanding with this issue.
