The Camp Monroe Health Center is a large, well-constructed building containing two examining rooms, a waiting room, eleven private and semiprivate patient rooms, and a dispensary carrying most commonly used medicines and first aid supplies.

It is centrally located, apart from all other camp buildings and is under the 24 hour supervision of a Licensed Physician, and 3 Registered Nurses, all of whom live at camp full time. The health center is a bright, clean, comfortable place with bathrooms, showers, a kitchen, a game area, and a television / video for camper’s use.

Each camper has a physical examination before camp and the camper’s health and medical history is kept on file. The camp Physician and Nurses make reports to our administration on a daily basis. The health of every camper is of primary importance to us and takes precedence over any other consideration.
