Lenny Amdurer is the Head Counselor at Camp Monroe, where he has been coming for the past 61 years. He is a 9th, 10th and 12th grade High School Social Studies teacher, Coordinator of The Peer Mediation Program, Class Advisor, Former Restorative Justice Educator, Former High School Freshman Basketball Coach, Iabbo High School Basketball Official, and Former New York State Drug Educator. He has a BA from Brooklyn College, a MS in Education from S.U.N.Y New Paltz, and took graduate courses from Teachers College and Columbia University. “Camp is a special place where people from all over the world learn what it really means to get along and become one great happy family. A place where life skills as well as sport, art, technology and dramatics skills are taught and learned and all while having loads of fun. A place where we are all connected.
