Every effort is made at Camp Monroe to serve the highest quality, strictly kosher food in the most sanitary conditions.
We take pride in our menu planning, always attempting to serve wholesome, appetizing food. Our kitchen staff is headed by a professional chef with over thirty years experience. A resident mashgiach supervises the kitchen.
Bruce Rothstein, our Food Service Director, takes personal responsibility in making certain that all of our campers and staff members are properly fed every day. We serve fresh fruit and vegetables daily. Homogenized, skim and chocolate milk are available at every dairy meal.
Waiters and waitresses serve our meals family style and no one is restricted in the amount of food available to them. In addition to our regularly planned menu, there are also a number of substitutes offered for those with special dietary needs.
To make sure that these special eaters are taken care of properly, Bruce, one of our owners, a dining room steward, and two camp mothers are present at meal times insuring that every camper and staff member has a complete and nutritious meal.
